I’m configured for ecosol max and the Roland engineer said to stick with it as it’s better.
reading up max3 seems to be the better ink so what’s the difference and is it worth changing?

When you read about Max3 is probably only from official sources. They state that ink dry faster and smell even less. Issue is with using this ink that it dries a lot in the head so more head cleans are needed. so obviously not good for your heads, caping station and your wallet.

Thanks Paul
I did read max 3 dries faster and wondered if this would affect the print head.
I haven’t been using a cleaning fluid when wiping the edges of the print head either should I be?
Some say not to bother but Roland say yes use their cleaner £68 a bottle fluid.
Can’t I just use the cleaning solution from a cleaning Cartridge.
I am not sure about that. I use Roland cleaning solution and get full bottle once a year for free from them. I always swab the head with it.

I wasn’t sure if there was a massive difference so knowing that I’m sticking with the original.
I wonder if this is what’s causing head blockages in other people's machines?
I have a cleaning cartridge in the white slot and will keep it that way as it seems to be running smooth apart from the smudging on the first 20cm of print.
I have two white carts and not sure if they are any good to anyone? they both have a puncture mark in the end like they have been used.
one is full the other is probably 50-70% full.
Is this worth selling or should I just bin them?
Wonder if you can specify having Ecosolmax v1 original inks on a new Roland printer or whether you are only allowed Ecosolmax3 and I wonder when they might discontinue the original inks, supply and demand would probably determine that but at what pont is it determined non viable I wonder. Use cleaner on the edges and don't wipe the head directly is as I was told. Clean the cap station well, wipe the wiper and the scraper can get mucky so cleaning that isn't a bad idea too.
