I have had 2 L805 and I am just so fed up with all the issues but everywhere I see the L805 is supposed to be a good printers. I just want a printer that is reliable. I just wondered peoples thoughts on SG500 or L805?

The main one is I keep getting yellow smudges on every mug in the same place. I have tried different setting, different mugs, different press, having them in a different way. Always in the same place so I can only think its the printer. I have done head cleans etc. I have also tested different temps and pressure nothing seems to make any difference.

Next it never prints straight always has a 1mm slant no matter what I do, had this issue on the old printer too. I have to cut of the edged as I get black ink splattered all down the edges. These 2 I can manage with, but the other is ruining every mug
If the yellow smudge isn't on the print before you press, it's not the printer. The yellow smudge is likely to be "gassing". If you do a search for "gassing" it'll probably bring up a host of helpful things.
As always, probably not much help from me.....but you never know!

Yeah looks like the press needs to be a bit tighter around the mug.If the yellow smudge isn't on the print before you press, it's not the printer. The yellow smudge is likely to be "gassing". If you do a search for "gassing" it'll probably bring up a host of helpful things.

Thanks, I have tried this before but tried it last night as tight as I could before I break the mug and I still get the yellow
I own two L805s, but couldn't recommend them. The print quality is good, but neither of them can handle A4 paper properly. Your designs need to be well away from the paper edges and black ink smudges all around the edges when it catches. They are costing me a fortune in extra paper.
Yes, I feel exactly the same. I leave quite a gap on either side so I can cut the edges off. I am so stuck as everyone says L805 are good and I am on my 2nd and they have been nothing but problematic and sometimes wonder If I have been unlucky or this is just the norm for sublimation printers.
