Genie III mug press heater band.

Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase a Genie III mug press heat band (Standard Durham 11/12oz) from anywhere in the UK other than Listawood? The price they are charging is a complete rip-off price compared to similar mug press heat bands. Listawood is charging almost twice the price of most similar products.

I don't subscribe to the fact that LW prices are a rip off, I have used many different mug presses and blankets from a variety of suppliers and have found theirs to be a decent long lasting band like many others in the same price bracket. Having said that, if you feel that they are ripping you off then from personal experience I have had two very conflicting pieces of advice.

One supplier I asked said that although the blankets they sell look the same as does the press, their blanket will not work and they refused to sell me one. The element was of a similar price and the advice was from a very reputable supplier.

However I have also heard from a member of this forum who has said that they have used different blankets in the LW Genie III with no problem. I suspect you may have to play around with the time and temps but again I have no reason to doubt them

So you "pays your money and takes your choice" I suppose :-)

That's a standard price. More expensive at https://www.themagictouch.co.uk/prod...ement-10-11oz/
It is also called an Arc Mug Press in case you want to google using that name as well.

This is the name of the press that I was told does not work by some and does work by others
