    New Heatpress + Mug Press

As you will have noticed from my intro this is a new venture for me, my normal day-to-day business is in the Networking and Wireless and telephony industry.

As this is all new to me I'm looking and don't know any of the brand names as yet, Iv'e done a little research and come up with the following, also I'm not sure if you would go with a 5-in-1 press or a dedicated press and then look at a mug and hat press. Anyway here is what I've come up with.

    Silhouette Cameo 4 pro cutter
PowerPress Industrial-Quality Digital Sublimation Heat Press Machine for T Shirt, 15x15 Inch, Amazon have them but out of stock.

These guys do a mug-press starter kit which includes a printer

What are you thoughts on this?

    Thanks,
    Chet

I would always recommend going for seperate presses rather than a 5 in 1.

You're better off buying from one of the better known suppliers. We use SubliBlanks for some stuff and they've always been very good.

Cameo will be ok to start with but very slow, better to look for a larger machine if funds allow.

All depends on your budget really. We always say buy cheap buy twice, so many people buy a cheap press and end up having to replace with a decent one shortly after and spedning more in the long run.

That said I appreciate that anyone just starting out may only have a small budget. There are cheaper presses around that should do the job.

Same with the cutter, more you spend better you get but you don't neccesarily have to spend big. Will it be used for t-shirt vinyl designs?

What type of things will you be printing?

Starting of with T-shirts, Hoodies, caps and such - nothing too big right now, I would rather get it right now though than have to purchase again later on.
Let me know your thoughts on the press too.

    Thanks

Don't be tempted to go A4 to save money as you'll need the larger press. If you can find a second hand Adkins on Fleabay or local they can be picked up for a good price and are excellent presses, same with Pressmech but you don't see many of those.

I have the mug press from mdp and I have the free sun 4050 press and I’m very happy with both.

you don’t have to spend £1000’s but don’t buy cheap eBay or Amazon all in ones.

    ** Sawgrass A4 sublimation paper
6oz heating element - I have two of these available if you are looking to buy?
    Orca 11 Oz Standard - 36
    ** 1 x 1cm heat tape. -
36 x Smash proof mug shipping boxes

** The printer, inks and paper I would get from inkexperts. Along with heat tape. Far cheaper and better results and support.
