Help needed please, blurry image and faded top and bottom issues

Hi everyone, I’m hoping for a bit of help if possible as I’m almost at the point of throwing my equipment out the window. I have a MDP mug press, Epson et-2714 with ink experts style paper, inktek inks and MDP orca mugs.
I’ve been preheating for 240 secs in the mug press at 120c then pressing in lots of different combinations between 160c and 180c and for between 160seconds and 300seconds. I’m finding the image is clearer when pressed at 160c but the top and bottom of the mug are faded. At 180c the whole mug is printing but the image is blurry. Can anyone give me any tips?

I put a quick guide (review) together on this press you should have a read.
if it’s not working as stated you may have a faulty heating blanket.

I’ll post the link below in a second.

Ok thanks for your help, I’ve emailed MDP to see if they can advise me too. Hope to get it sorted soon.

I've only had blurry when not enough pressure

Or I've left the paper on while the mug cools

Sounds like a couple of things....either the pressure is not correct, the clamp is not making the pressure equal on the mug and so the edges are not pressed as tight, or the heat is not being evenly distributed
