Hello to all!
I've just signed up to this forum, and already I can see that I have so much to learn from the old hands here.
I'm just starting out in the world of dyesub with an Epson Ecotank, four bottles of ink, and some transfer paper bought so far. I also have a Roland plotter on semi-permanent loan from a relative. Heat presses are on the way, so far I've been trying out small test pieces using white polyester fabric (off the roll) and a domestic iron. I've run a few experiments with HTV and print & cut also. Hoping to add a colour laser at some point in order to exploit the print & cut side of things.
My background is in engineering (mech, electrical & electronics) but I did attend a couple of printing related courses at the tech (many years ago!) on litho offset printing and typographical design.
The general idea is to build/develop a modest home based business so I'm better prepared for the next pandemic & associated lockdowns. ;-)
