Adobe Photoshop - Ending 3D features!

    https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/3d-faq.html

Just started Photoshop this morning to complete some 3D Mock Ups only to be met by this message!

Main reason I've reluctantly stuck with Adobe as it's always worked really well......back to Photopea then! lol

This feature was removed in 2021 due to Adobe reckoning OpenGL was on the decline.

I'm not sure (haven't checked) whether Photopea supports 3D features in the way Photoshop did Justin.

I use purpose-made software for all of my 3D modelling and rendering anyway, instead of jack-of-all-trades-and-master-of-none Photoshop. The features of such software far exceed those of PS.

So just to clarify, anyone running CC, you can use older version 22 and still get full functionality, for now at least! Seems to be associated with latest OS's.

I've reverted back to v22 anyway because of other issues and Adobe support us a complete waste of time imo.

Photopea does support smart object rendering, it's the only alternative I've found that does.

BTW Webtrekker.....can you create life like templates for smart objects? I am struggling to find a few that I need. Drop me a PM if easier, cheers.

It does say in the article linked to in the first post, that they are shifting focus of 3D features into Adobe Substance, so worth looking at that if you're wanting to stick with Adobe
