15oz mug press confusion - pls help!

    Hello

Total Noob here! I'm after a mug press for printing to 15oz durham but cannot find one for love nor money! Some presses have 11oz elements and the odd few state 11-15oz...

Am I right in thinking I can get away with using a 11oz press if I'm not looking for full top to bottom printing? I don't want to buy the wrong press!

Also any recommendations on a decent mug press.... any help would be appreciated as I'm not sure where to start! Thank you in advance!!!

If you have a look at the MDP website https://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/dye-su...blimation_mugs you can see that they sell 15oz bone china mugs and say they print with their mug element "C" which appears to be the same as 10oz and 11oz ceramic mugs.

I would start by checking the height and diameter of the 15oz mugs you intend to use and, perhaps, give MDP a call just to check.

Most mug presses from reputable suppliers will come with a standard 10/11oz blanket. However you will see that most will have a larger blanket for the 15oz mugs. If you call the supplier you choose then you may even be able to persuade them to give you the 15oz blanket instead of the 11oz.

    Suppliers to try

    Ink Experts
    Listawood (GENIE III)
    MDP Supplies
    The Magic Touch
    Xpres
    Dye Sublimation Supplies

All the above sell decent presses so take your pic. There may be other suppliers that I have forgotten to list so if you see a supplier that is not listed don;t hesitate to ask what "we" think of them

If you decide go the Genie III press route, just a head's up that this press (and various sized blankets) are available for less at The Transfer Press. (Great support via phone + live chat too.)

Alternatively, you may be able to find wraps to fit the mugs and go the oven route
