    Print quality/speed question

In my printer dialog box I have a couple of options to set the print quality. Currently it's set to the following:

    Printer: SG-400
    Paper Type: Inkjet
Print Priority: Normal (other options are Quality, Speed)

My questions are: if I set the print quality to "Quality" does that use more ink, or does it just make the paper feed through the printer more slowly? What's the difference between selecting Inkjet paper and plain paper?

Finally, because the ink on my paper seems a little wetter than I would like (especially using A-Sub paper) when it comes out, is there a way to slow the printing down a little so the ink has time to dry a little as it's going through the printer?

With my Ricoh SG3110DN (virtually identical to SG400) I print at 'High Quality, Plain Paper' settings with 'Quick Feed' turned off. I use an ICC Profile while printing and let Photoshop manage colours.

We use a bank of SG400's (as most know by now ha ha) along with Beaver Mug Paper and our settings are "Quality Priority", "Inkjet Plain Paper" along with a custom ICC profile. If you're needing the profile drop me a PM with email address and I will happily send over. Olly
