Upgrading from Epson WF-7710

Hello all,

Looking for some opinions/advice. I've been printing sublimation with a Epson WF-7710 for the last four years. Generally been really happy but the printer is on it's last legs so looking for advice on what to upgrade to now.

I print largely A3 prints, vector graphics onto jigsaw puzzles, mugs, tote bags etc. Not in the market for a large format printer, I already have a Epson SC-P7500 for regular photo printing so zero chance of getting a second LF printer into my workspace. Budget is ideally around the £500-700 mark but can stretch to £1k if necessary What do you recommend?

I keep seeing Epson LT-18100 and ET-8550 pop up but what are the differences?

Aside from the LCD display the major difference seems to be that the ET8550 has two paper feed cassettes for A4 and 10x15" paper. That means the A3/A3+ capability has to be actioned via the rear slot. If it is like their other models then (due to the front feed cassettes) the rear slot might only take one sheet at a time, which will be a pain so check before you buy.

If you need to load multiple sheets at once for longer jobs then the LT18100 is the better bet.

Both will be slow, due to them being prosumer photo printers.

I recently downgraded to several WF7310's at £135 each. Much faster than the old 1500w or L1800 printers I had, print quality nearly as good. A3 cassettes and an A3+ one sheet rear feed.
The only downside is uing refillable carts, but they are large enough to print about 50 A3 sheets at a time.
