Favourite cotton or blended t shirts?

    Hi people,

Just wondering what are people's favourite cotton or blended t-shirts and suppliers are. I tend to go with Gildan soft style or heavyweight but find the soft style a bit thin and lightweight and the heavyweight a bit coarser in fabric. I'm looking for a soft heavyweight or thick t shirt. I tend to buy my t shirts from btc activewear but would be happy to look around if there are other good options out there.

The Gildan Hammer T is a good soft premium heavyweight shirt, but only in limited colours. Outside of that I mainly use FOTL Valueweight as a basic workwear t-shirt, unless the cutomer specifies something better such as the FOTL Super Premium.

The Russel ZT180 is a nice soft midweight shirt but very few people want to pay the extra money for it. Not as 'boxey' as the Gildan cut.

Interestingly my son in law made a comment this week end about his favourite type of t shirt (i.e disney/marvel comic/film related) He buys them, stores them for 12 months then wears them when theye out of date (hes a proper collector so there will be a sane reason behind that).

His remark was that he had noticed a trend of t-shirs shrinking in their length after the first wash. Especially amongst Gildan shirts.

Has anyone else noticed or had this brought to their attention please? Is there a answer to combat this or is their a line of shirts that doesnt have this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Tony

I bought Gildan hammer recently and find it quite thin still. With the white shirts I can see my tattoos through them. Are there any good sturdy, soft and thick shirts?

Sol's, Tee Jays and Anthem all make shirts at around 220gsm (white comes in at around 10gsm less). Craghoppers do one at 240gsm and Casual Classics do an outsize fashion style at 350gsm(!).
