    New website

Hi everyone, I have been doing sublimation printing for a few years, not a lot because of other commitments but want to push it further. I have been on and off Shopify for about a year building my website which is www.cairnprint.com. I would appreciate it if some of the forum users could take a few minutes and have a look at my site and give me their views on it. I also have a free competition on it to win an Amazon Echo Spot 2024 release so feel free to enter and thank you very much.

Dark is not good, the flashing button is really off putting

There's something that just feels off about it, I think its the black background and white writing....

First impressions, for what they're worth ...

    • Home page is too dark and too plain.
    • No hook to attract punters on first viewing.
    • Competition banner takes pride of place. Maybe remove the Call to Action (Enter Here) button from the banner and place it further down the page so that potential customers have to at least scroll down your page before being allowed to enter the competition. The banner button can be replaced with a 'Scroll down to enter' message.

A future addition might be to use a bit of JavaScript to show personalised text on the images as the customer types it in. Not a necessity, of course, and probably best to see how the website is performing first before spending time coding such a feature.

On the whole, though, not a bad first attempt.
