Is this a font or a designed logo??

Hiya, ive been asked to provide some samples for merchandise for a band. However the guy im dealing with doesnt have any files as yet to give me so im going on whatever i can find, can you tell me if this logo is a font itself or you think it has been designed as a logo??

    Cheers

You could do somthing similar with a ransom font:

    http://www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=ransom

    or here

    http://www.1001fonts.com/font_details.html?font_id=1041

    or here

    http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Ransom.htm

Of course, check the usage of these fonts for things you provide. They may be free for personal use but commercial use may be different

if you want that as a proper logo, then use the trace facility on your software ?? as john says its made up of different "newspaper" style fonts. so you can replicate, but as adam pointed out, be careful as free fonts are different for home & commercial purposes. the company that are asking you should already have a file with their logo on, can you not just ask them for it ??
