I think this thread should be pinned and all newbies should be required to read it before they can post...LOL. It would save a lot of repeat questions.

"It has been said from time to time that, if your authorised system fails within the first 12 months and your printer manufacturer won't fix any problems, Sawgrass will step in to help out. However, this "support" is not stated on the Sawgrass documentation and so you should be aware that it may not be available."

I would like to clarify that, if an authorised system is purchased through a Sawgrass dealer, and duly registered on the Sawgrass website, Sawgrass will replace the OEM's guarantee ( which is voided by using sublimation inks in the printer) with a 12-month guarantee from Sawgrass for any defects or problems generated by the use of their inks. Support is therefore available, initial port of call should be the dealer from whom system was purchased, with back-up support available from Sawgrass.

Do you get anything in writing to confirm this warranty?

Do you speak for all Sawgrass dealers though?
Is there anything on Sawgrass' website to confirm/clarify that this is the case?

Is there a section on Sawgrass' website giving details, terms & conditions for the warranty?

As someone fairly new to this I purchased a Ricoh and the Sawgrass inks (from The Transfer Press). I purchased a mug off of Ebay with an image I knew I could get and made a mug to compare the results. I produced the first mug using just the printer drivers and the image was the same good quality as the one I purchased but faint. When I matched up the Power Driver and printed using this system the colours came out just as they should have been.

This is a great FAQ so thank you JSR for posting it :) The one thing Im currently looking for is a list of sellers where I could purchase a sublimation system from or am I just being a bit slow? I have used Magictouch many times before so know what they offer but wanted to know if there are any other reputable companies so I can check prices :)
