Too good to be true? If anyone has anything to say about these I'd be very grateful - good or bad. I need to order soon so all opinions gratefully received.
I appreciate that you get what you pay for, but as a newbie I need to start cheap.

I think we need a link urgent
:-)
I didn't put up a link because if you put "combination heat press" into Ebay, they're all pretty much the same model by the looks of it:)
Ok, here's an example:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-1-HEAT-T...t_15664wt_1270
where else have you looked ?? coralgraph, bms, most reputable suppliers now do an entry level press, if you rush into things and buy cheap you will often just have to re-buy months later - why the rush ??

EDIT -
one of corals is only £249 incl postage !

These Ebay units appear very similar to the coralgraph and BMS combi presses - just a different colour and slightly cheaper! But as a newbie I'm wondering if I'm missing something blindingly obvious.
The rush is because I have the money NOW but if I don't invest I won't have it for long due to very little self-control:) My Ricoh and various sublimation consumables are already on the way.
Here's another with realistinc shipping:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/combo-4in1...ht_3488wt_1270
Coral have 3 combis on their site, but the flat press is tiny on 2 of them and the 3rd is more expensive than these Ebay models.
think you will find that general buying sublimation press's ect from ebay - if it buggers up, getting some sort of refund / fix / new part ect, will be a lot harder than it would buying from a decent store....
There AINT the same level of trust there bud as there is with a decent supplier.
But as the rest will probably tell you - pay yer money - takes yer chance !
TBH - i looked at the combo's from coral but thought long and hard - will plates & baseball hats really be that much of a seller to get this combo ?.....NA....not for me bud.
single flat bed and seperate mug press - you can always ask the company your buying the press from if they will get the additional plate & cap press for you at a later date -( if its part of a combo that is )
thats what i did - and yes, they can get the cap/plate add ons - they just need a bit of notice thats all !

Cheers. I need the flat, the mug and the cap unfortunately. I looked at getting decent individual presses for all the separate jobs, starting with one and waiting for it to pay for the next and then waiting for those 2 to pay for the 3rd, but I'll lose a lot of potential business in the interim and, if the combi is actually good value, I'll be paying out more than I needed to.
I am virtually surrounded by engineers and mechanics so that if there is a problem and I get no joy from the seller I have no doubt the machinery can be fixed by my buddies. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything specific about these presses such as they are notorious for having cold spots or something. But if they are the same as the Coral and BMS they should be ok?
