So Johnny did you get a profile for your Brother and pigment inks in the end and was the end result any better?
If a jobs worth doing it has to be Worth Doing Right

Lol....no worry's.
@Worth -
paul done the profile, but i didn't want it as i already made up my mind to convert the other Brother BACK to ORDINARY INKS for everyday printing jobs - invoices/comp slips/letterheads ect.
Pigment inks on this machine was a nightmare TBH.
Had to do a complete head clean every time i left it over night. If i kept it going with longer runs it was great, even without the profile, but the everyday cleaning was gonna bugger up/fill up the waste ink tank very quickly.
I have tried to find a waste toner tank for the 5910dw, but it aint happening.
So, was left with no other choice.
Looking at another Epson for the pigment inks at the moment

No, a nightmare is when you get an air bubble trapped in an Epson printhead that won't shift for love nor money. The Brother issue is with the ink being too thick. It's a consistent issue, one that you can predict, so if you were going to use this set-up to print photos and you chose to print all at the same time, then it's something that could be done. However, if the intent is to be an office printer (as in my case), then it's not practical.Pigment inks on this machine was a nightmare TBH.

I shall probably, at some stage, reinvestigate this with a newer printer from Brother's range - but I shan't be putting them in an Epson that's designed for dye ink.

You'll have the same problem with the pigment ink. Wouldn't be so bad if we knew where the waste ink outlet was. Maybe I'll take one of mine apart when it expires.Hmm.....in hind sight, i might just go for another brother .

I don't have one of them. I did once consider using an Epson Picturemate for dye-sub - given that it would be the ideal portable solution for mugs and coasters - but I can't find any sensible source for refillable cartridges. Hardly anyone was interested in the idea, though. The "approved" path advocates "all roads lead to Ricoh", leaving very little room for people's imaginations.
i know but i wont feel as bad if the new brother packs up(another 3yr warranty)....for some strange reason, i have grow fond of these 2 big brothers( no pun intended)...stupid i know but hey
