Epson Printers with inbuilt Epson CISS

Just seen a post over on T-Shirt forums, and found out that Epson actually have their own CISS systems built into some of their printer models that are marketed in Asia regions...

    They are named L100/L110/L200/L300/L800

Quick Google and found that this seems to be true:

    http://www.ink-system.co.uk/all-in-one-ciss/epson/epson-inkjet-photo-l800.html

Or on futher reading, it seems that these are new models, so UK availability may be in the pipeline. This on the heels of Epson bringing out a dedicated sublimation printer.

The dedicated sublimation printers are wide format models (44" and 64" IIRC), with large 1.5 litre bottle/carts things.

I've just been reading about these new printers from Epson & was wondering how Epson would stop people using 3rd party inks. Well, they have got some software where you have to put a code from each bottle of ink for it to reset. However I've seen there is now some free software to get around this so people can use 3rd party inks. The original Epson ink that comes with the printer is dye ink which is good news if you print things like photos. The CISS system is already conected & looks very neat & easy to fill too & it comes empty when new.

Tim, no doubt that will be beacause of the Sawgrass patent on dye sub desktops but, is this Epson gearing up for when the patent comes to an end. Seeing what I've just seen & read it would be easy to use one of the desktop models for sublimation if you get a colour profile made.

I'm quite tempted to import a few to flog on, but I would then be responsible for warranty-ing them, which kinda puts me off!
