Help - Problem with printing on sublimation film!

    Hi,

First thanks for a fantastic forum and sorry for my bad english.

I have recently invested in a printer Epson WP-4015 but I have a big problem when I print with sublimation film http://sublideck.com/sublimation-3dfilm.html

The printer feeds a littlebit and then stops and says jams. It works fine if I try with plain paper. I guess it's because sublimation film is a bit transparent.

But this is the printer vendor recommend so it should work. Guess it's something I missed?

    Grateful for advice

    Thanks.

Hi Thomas, Try a photo paper setting to see if that helps. It might be a good idea to speak to Sublideck to see what they say about the problem.

I have try with all the paper settings, the only way that works is with "Plain paper" but then its only only with low print quality. I also tried to reach Sublideck, but i guess they closed for the holidays :(

Presumably you're using PowerDriver for the Sublijet-IQ inks in the Epson printer? If so, then does it not work with the default option in the PowerDriver software?

We're experimenting with similar paper, but there is a transparent as well as gold coated film. The gold coated film removes the transparency issue so it is 'seen' as paper by the printer.
