If vinyl can go on to garments etc why cannt it be heat pressed onto mugs/glasses etc.
I have put standard vinyl onto glasses in the past and they have even gone into a dishwasher.
anyone ever tried it?
Many thanks

Why would you want to do this?
The feel of it would be awful and although it may survive a couple of washes it will certainly not be there in six months time.
Vinyl can go on glasses etc. It doesn't need to be heat pressed. If left to cure long enough...about 1-2 weeks it should wash well. I know people that have done this and even washed them top shelf dishwasher with no problems. Use an outdoor vinyl bridegroom.jpg100_3458.jpgwineglasses1.jpg
Here are some I have made in the past. The bride groom and the name ones were cut out with a cricut The butterfly ones where just punched out using a craft punch. Then just peel of backing to reveal a sticky side and just place on item Squeeze out any air bubbles if need be.
As sharyn says above, you can use normal car vinyl, its very popular at the moment to have designs and names on glasses.
Although i would reccommend hand washing and it obviously doesnt last that long, but its more of a novely thing for birthdays, dinnernights in, hen nights, ect.
Many thanks for your answers
Before sub I did a lot of vinyl on mugs etc .... And my car used oracal 651 and my decal has been on my car window om outside through rain hail and the hot Queensland sun and is still good as the day I put it there the mugs I do I recommend hand wash but they have been in dishwasher
