I was thinking about getting a new press paul but I wanted a decent one and im not selling enough mugs to justufy getting one yet the oven and wrap looks ok. I know it will take longer for each mug but for the amount I do I can live with it for now.
Can a holagen oven be used for anything else apart from mugs?

A halogen over will heat anything the same way a heat press will, all you need is a way of securing the sublimation paper tightly to the object you are trying to print.

Good lock with the oven Dave, although to be brutally honest I do not hold out much hope, sorry mate.
