    Rasterising rounded rectangle

I’m trying to create a cut contour for a rectangle with rounded corners for a sticker but I’m having an issue.

I import the design from PS into ai
    copy the layer
rename it artwork lock it and hide it.
rename the first layer to Contour Cut
rasterize the layer then the issue occurs.

It converts the rounded rectangle into a square edged rectangle??
I have tried and tried but my brain has stopped working.

What am I missing or doing wrong?
I would normally rasterise then image trace, expand, join all paths, offset path.

send it to me and I will try to do it for you. from the description I am not actually sure what you are doing but it sounds like some unneeded steps there. Why would you rastewrise the layer with cutline?

    I managed to do it.

I saved it as a transparent png opened in AI then added an offset path @ 0.00
Opened in VW and it sees and cuts it perfect.
