    weeding and lighting

Dont know if its my age

With the nights drawing in and somedays being so dull, im having a job weeding black clothing vinyl, (cant see the cuts)

Last year i still had 'normal' 100w light bulbs, but now i have these energy saver bulbs, and i cant see bugger all.

Is there anyone who can suggest good bulbs / lighting. Tried daylight bulb, but didnt get on with that either.

and yes ive been to specsavers

You could try placing the vinyl in the fridge. The vinyl will shrink slightly and subsequently the cuts will show up better

as well as the fridge method try leaving them overnight and you should get the same 'gapping' result.

I know you said you tried the daylight lamp..
i had this problem and the daylight lamp was the answer, its an angle poise I can get right over the subject - its only 11w, I love it.

I can picture a fridge being part of standard equipment in your work room, I think I saw a cooker in Simons room !

i have left black overnight as Roger suggests and it works well, i have a strip light on the wall above where i work, the type you have under a kitchen unit, it gives just that extra bit of light
