Issues sublimation metal box. 3D Vacuum machine + Epson F100/170 + Silver 3D film

    Hello guys!
I found this great forum and I come to you because I´m having some issues sublimating metal boxes in the vacuum machine.

The problem is that some little spots, stains and kind of strands appear when sublimating. As you can see in the images it also happens that colours are not vibrant, blacks are not deep and there is a kind of grain/noise mainly in the darker sides.

I explain the process I do so maybe you can help me.

    I use a Sublimation machine + Epson FF100 / 170 + Silver sublimation film

    The configuration is:

    - Photoshop manages colors
    - Epson Sc-f100 series generalpurpose profile (rigid)
    - DS transfer paper type general purpose/metal
    - High quality
    - In the color settings, in the workspace I have set RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1, in CMYK I have set U.S.WEB COATED (SWOPP) v2 and in gray and spot ink I have set "Dot gain 15%". In the color management rules I have put "Preserve embedded profiles" in the RGB, CMYK and GRAY dropdowns.

I did some color adjustment to find more contrast and color push and finally I converted into sRGB IEC61966-2.1. This way I achieved better definition than before in Silver Sublimation Film (just in case it helps to anyone). It took a while...

    SUBLIMATION:
I set the pre warming in 60 seconds

    Temperature - 130 ēC
Time - 240/270 seconds. (I have tried this frame but it always happens more or less the same)
Vacuum pressure: It starts going up to 9 and in some seconds it goes down to 8 and stays there until the end.

When I open the vacuum machine I take off the film and I leave the metal top of the box in a safe place so it can cool.

    Basically pre problems are:
    - White Stains, dots, threads on sublimation (They're not in the print)
    - No deep colours. Everything feels like a bit washed.
    - Grain. Particularly in darker places.

Hope I have explained everything well.

Thanks in advance for your helps mates. Maybe with your help I can make these works properly.

    Have a nice day!

this is old post but that is from print pin wheel. they are tiny wheels with pin like points that feed the paper through they have ink on them and so it goes onto the paper and when heatpress turns dark

to clean them you need to do the following get some material ribbon like what people sew onto say a dress maybe 4cm wide etc, then cellotape same width card at 1 end this can be 4-5 cm long...this is so you can push it through the front of the machine where the paper comes out.

you need isopropyl alcohol also so all these items are good to have in to do this every so often when this issue happens.

so now you have a strip of ribbon which i normal have one about 40cm long with say 5cm of card taped to 1 end. now open the printer lid and also pull out the front tray of the printer.

maybe have a plate or tray at hand for the mess and stretch the ribbon out and pour some of the alcohol onto the middle of the ribbon so it is soaked and then feed the cardboard end through the front of the printer which is fiddly and look into the top of the printer to see it coming through and grab it and now slowly pull it so the alcohol soaked part is where those pin wheels are which are usually all in a row and usually metal but sometimes plastic they are round but with little pin like points all way around and pull the ribbon gentle as far in then as far out as you can so the alcohol section is cleaning the whole of the discs and go along the whole row of them. keep doing this a few times you may need more alcohol also.

dont worry it drys fast on stuff with it being high proof stuff
