Lightbulb Any experts on acrylic printing here?

I'm keen to print on clear acrylic blanks, particularly for those LED nightlight things.

I've followed the instructions on the various YouTube vids to the letter, but the results are coming out VERY washed out - barely visible.
To get better prints do I make the press hotter? Or leave the pressure on for longer? Anyone had any success?

NB - Yep, I know the dyes are transparent, and am realistic about the possible colour density. But mine really don't compare with the ones shown online and I'm keen to improve the results if I can....

    Thanks!

Most of the night lights printed in colour are done with UV Printing where a layer of white in layed down first. You wont get very good results with Dye Sub on clear without a white layer.

We would either UV print or affix vinyl with a backing etc. As ICF has already said, you won't get strong colours onto clear acrylic otherwise. Colour is printed first and white goes onto the back.

You need to use dark and very saturated colours. As for those nightlights. Where are you buying the LED lights from? I would be really careful about buying Chinese electrical items on Amazon for kid's bedrooms. They can be a fire hazard.
