Remember that the colour of the shirt will affect the colour of your final print, as you are adding dye to something that already has colour. You'd be better starting with a white t-shirt and printing the full thing with a yellow background to your design.
@pisquee how you going to print the whole of the rest of the tee yellow and seems a bit costly on yellow ink and transfer paper
You need a wide format printer and press, and you either print the fabric on the roll before it's cut and sewn for best results, or you can print a ready made t-shirt.
Wide format inks and transfer papers are a lot cheaper than the stuff aimed at smaller printers.
Not saying you have the need or budget to do this, but wanted to offer a bit of a bigger picture on what dye sub can do, and how it is done for fashion.
The light yellow fabric you're thinking of printing onto would have started off as white, and then dyed yellow, and then you're wanting to dye it again.
