Re: Mugs????

Re: Mugs????
YOur answer is quite simple cvgpeter don't buy from them again, but you can recoup your loss by selling them cheaper as a one off. Even at 1.99 plus postage you lost nothing. In business when we all start because we don't have the experience or expertise you lose money, but we have gone along and learnt from our mistakes, so like us you'll have to suck it up as it goes with the territory, if you're working this part time and not as a living then be thankful that you have a paid job, it's a very small hiccup and is all part of a learning curve that we all go through. YOu've lost nothing and have gain experienced at no cost. Trust me when you're running a business and paying rates tax, equipment and the other expenses that come with. we have every man and his dog doing this at home it's a tough business to be in. The good thing is that people that do mugs are here on this forum giving advice.

Thanks for the reply, this is our full time Business ( including wide format printing / Vinyl / T shirt Printing, been at it for a bit of time now, I was just "venting" at a bad box out of 6. Spoken to the supplier and a new box will be on it's way tomorrow.

Re: Mugs????
I have been through lots of different mug suppliers and have always ended up back with BMS. Their 10oz European mugs are always spot on for me, the one time I had a problem with a box they sent out replacements next day for me no quibbles.
I spent so much time when I was starting out trying to cut corners and save money by using cheaper mugs but in the end I find it's worth paying a bit extra for a quality mug.

Re: Mugs????
Although I totally agree the powers that be don't like members mentioning suppliers that do not advertise on this forum e.g. BMS. I had a post removed last week for stating that Supplier X had a super deal on the new SG400 but before you know it it was removed. Explanation - basically cannot mention deals from non-paying suppliers. Be warned that your post may disappear at any moment! I blame Paul Daniels
Re: Mugs????
I had 17 out of a box of 36 with exactly the same fault, they just gave me a refund rather than replace the mugs, as they said they could not guarantee their mugs would not have these pin holes.
Re: Mugs????
Yikes, I had no idea! Is there an official list of companies we are and are not allowed to mention? Is this really the case?UK Printed Mugs;107939 wrote:Although I totally agree the powers that be don't like members mentioning suppliers that do not advertise on this forum e.g. BMS. Re: Mugs????
Who knows! Apparently this is happening quite a bit and a lot of older members have given up on this forum I've been told. Shame that members cannot talk openly and share information. We can all certainly make our minds up about suppliers so it's not like our arm is forced to buy from a particular dealer.
Re: Mugs????
I have seen suppliers mentioned on here who are not advertisers. Nova chrome, BMS. The only thing I know of is inks not supplied by Sawgrass for the home printer market due to a patent issue.
