My supplier stopped selling vinyl - Can anyone recommend?
Re: My supplier stopped selling vinyl - Can anyone recommend?
I have been buying Premium PU Vinyl from Absolute Apparel for about 4 years, although difficult to weed, I have always been very happy with the results on cotton tees, even small intricate images. They have now stopped selling it. I recently bought from MDP and I am not happy with it all.
Can anyone recommend a good Matt White vinyl for use mainly with FOTL cotton T Shirts.
Thanks. Mike.

Which vinyl did you try from MDP? I like the Hot Flex no issues with it. Have tried others but always come back to hot flex.

Hi Iain, Thanks for your reply. I used the MDP Flex which is awful. As you weed it the image just drops to bits. I may give the Hot Flex a try.

I backing sheet is not that sticky I know but unless you are doing very thin lines or small text I find it okay. I tried some vinyl from xpres and the backing was far to sticky and a real pain to weed.

I absolutely love magic touch 123 flex. Really easy to weed, great finish.
Re: My supplier stopped selling vinyl - Can anyone recommend?
TMT 123 isvery easy to weed, but it you need to allow to cool slightly after pressing before you peel the backing away. Not convinced that it lasts on the garment as well as MDP Hot Flex., but Hot Flex is harder to weed.
Swings and round-a-bouts.

Thanks everyone! Is the TMT WHITE Flex a Matt finish?

I'd recommend checking out Dae Ha vinyl.
Various styles available. Never had any issues and their new vinyl One Flex may be just the job for your needs.

Dae Ha all the way for me as well. IMHO, 123 is not a very sticky backing, so not good for small lettering/intricate items, very thick and sits ontop of the garments - used to use it for our cheap on the spot t shirt printing, but have now moved 100% to Dae Ha, even though they have put their prices up to reflect other suppliers of their own products.

I like Stahls Sportsfilm EXTRA from Target Transfers.
It's £5.70 for a 500mm by 1000mm roll, which will do around 50 to 60 left chest logos. The feel isn't too bad its warm peel, and it stands up very well to washing. I've got a top thats 4 years old and it still looks flawless.
Its a bit stretchy too and very easy to cut and weed, especially intricate detail.
