Adkins Alpha 7 Pneumatic Press

Anyone running one of these presses?

Interested to hear what type and rating compressor is ideal.

I have it running but not sure compressor is right for the machine.

Looks a great press so be interested to hear how you get on with it - I presume you've read the Xpres blurb saying "5 bar. (65 psi)"? We run a similar press at the same size platen on a compressor and it works fine - Clarke Shhh Air 50/24

Previous owner thought around 125psi. I didn't get a compressor with it but have one for another press that I've been working with. I fitted a new air regulator, it's leaking air and stopping the machine get to the right psi, not sure if it's faulty or deliberate yet......does yours use one like attached by any chance? Leaking through the little plastic bit shown on close up, it has a couple of small o rings but doesn't tighten incredibly well like it's not designed to so not sure if leaking is deliberate.

Yes, looks 100% the same as ours which is an Adkins press but not. Basically Adkins badge up machines so ours is the Secabo TP10 Pneumatic 75cm x 105cm Heat Press also known as Adkins OMEGA 750.

We thankfully have a compressor company a couple of doors away so any issue I just print them some mugs in exchange for any help - maybe someone local to you or perhaps give Hexis a call.

Just got one of those smaller presses as well, pretty much same but it's the one Mega stock. Compressor works fine on that one. Small plastic dome is definately stopping the pressure going to the machines, will have a chat with local pneumatic company thanks.

Looks like regulator is faulty, will replace and try again.

We have 2 adkins pneumatics, a twin head and a single, both just A3ish size and they are fantastic

Quick update, second new air regulator working properly and press all fine now
