Is there any difference in the appearance of a t shirt when a 43T OR 62T screen is used?

42 will leave more ink deposite after one stroke. ok for wording etc.... for finer details you will need finer mesh (higher mesh count)

62 is ideal for general t' shirt work, 43 would be used, as paul said, to put a heavy deposit of ink down - maybe for a white print onto black shirt. I wouldn't use a 43 for small text as you don't get a sharp print compared to the 62

Right thanks guys, most of our printing will be white text onto black shirts but a lot of it will have small text too so i will have to source the 62.
A huge learning curve this is !

Our volume is such now that there aren't enough hours in the day to make the tees using vinyl so this is the way we have to go, but what i'm finding difficult is the end result, I know what i want but don't know what it is

I bought in some printed shirts to add to our range and the printing on them is exactly what I don't want. :?

Would there be a different rule if the ink used was water based and not plastisol please?

(an old post but better to ask here than start a new thread)

I think waterbased ink is actually thicker Paul.

I'm only going by the opinions of others who say that water based (permaset) is thicker and dries in the mesh.

i agree with drying quick as they are water based :)
water evaporates and all is left on the screen is pigment :D
