Re: product photos
I use to use a Fuji entry level bridge camera, set the super macro on, I used a chromakey background for most of the images, and used photokey software, the background and software cost me around 40 quid on ebay, the camera was 90 quid, the software pretty much removed all the background for me leaving any editing to just a few minutes, these images were used and sold to varios websites at the time, there is an issue with shiny metal as it reflects the green on some images and leaves them with a green tint, but for most stuff it was a great cheap set up that provided good quality images, especially for websites as the images are often smaller, I have over the years upgraded as I used to do portrait and wedding photography but you can still produce good web images from a set up of around £150, as someone mentioned outdoor pictures often provide very good lighting if you don't have anything else, but the super macro function often keeps your detail sharp and means you don't require the flash to operate, with a white background this can produce good images without the need to edit, with a green background you can get perfect images with software in a short time, you can choose any colour background or image as a background, the downside of taking good pictures means everyone will copy yours, it wont be long before you see them on other websites, grrrrrrrrrr.
