the compresser uses a system of air . it sucks it in i believe from somewhere at the back so im guessing the air will never run out,

oh and they were not chipped on the top of the mug image, its the lighting and clouds. had a look today and well happy with the result.

now ive got to decide on purchasing a full set HD inks for sg400 or purchase a new epson with cis system...

So do they use light pressure or heavy pressure?

I tried a box of Listawood mugs and had to add an extra turn to the pressure on a standard press to sort out some fading towards the bottom. You can't tweak the pressure on a pneumatic if required.

But I've only made 2 mugs with it as I had it the other day. Hopefully as time goes on in will know more about the machine.
Put it this way I wouldn't want my fingers in it when it shuts tight.

Light pressure or heavy pressure is how hard the blanket wraps around the mug. In a standard press, you can adjust that pressure. A pneumatic I'm guessing doesn't have that adjustment?

The press looks as if it does have the same manual adjustment as a regular press. Have a look at the end of the pneumatic ram and you will see the plastic ball and adjustment nut.

Personally after testing straight from the box it didnt need any adjustment what so ever, if i had to give it a negative point then i would say the control buttons seem a little to flimsy and not as good as build as the rest of the press.
Only time will tell if it proves any good or not.

Does anybody know if this will take a 15oz mug?

I had my normal mug press from them. Works great

Can you do any other mugs in this press? Like lattes

its a 11 oz mug press,. so im guessing that's it,
it does have an adjuster to make it tighter so maybe 10oz will fit but aint tried one .

I've got 6 of these and we only killed one to date. That one was replaced under warranty after the compressor failed. They are great but not for full coverage in my experience. For under £100 if one dies after 12 months, I'm OK with that. Ours would do around 1000 mugs a month, each.

I'm very impressed with Dave's results on full coverage. One of our six will do that if you preheat the mug. It seems to have a softer blanket than the others. They don't seem to be particularly consistent but you get to know each one's "personality".
