I wanted to start on a budget so bought a JML oven and a couple of wraps, you actually need at least 8 wraps at around £25 each and it takes around 20 min to do 4 mugs, so expensive route to take.
I do a lot of one off mugs so bought a BMS mug press. Lot less hassle. Bought a BMS combo press, used for mugs alongside the dedicated mug press I can achieve much the same speed for big orders. Also I can do different sizes as well as flat bed pressing. In hind site getting started I would buy a mug press followed by a combo. This gives versatility as well as the backup you need using entry level equipment, then perhaps two or more ovens + wraps for bigger orders.
