Decided to get a bit fresh air today so dragged the family along to the Sunderland Air Show. Always wanted to do this, it was ok but very very busy. The wing walkers were fantastic and some of the aerial displays were brilliant.

I was really happy when I got home and checked the photo's on the laptop as I wasn't sure whether i'd have stacks and stacks of blurry images or blue skys. I was using my trusty oldish fuji bridge camera but had zoomed right in so it was difficult to get focused.

A while ago I was tempted to get an slr to replace my film slr but didn't bother, glad in a way as I'm not sure i'd want to lug a range of lenses around everytime I wanted to take a few shots. Anyway - you should have seen some of the zoom lens there - some of them over a foot long, it was quite embarrassing get my little 10x zoom out.

We came away early and missed the Vulcan plane I wanted to see - glad though as the queue's for the Metro were miles long. Did catch a glimse of it while standing waiting on the platform and definitely heard it!
