I find UniSub placemats warp even if I stack two boxes of mugs on top of them. The trouble comes when you're doing an order of 20 placemats - I don't have 40 boxes of mugs, or the space in which to lay them!

The old non-UniSub placemats didn't used to warp so badly. You would have thought that UniSub have been in the business long enough by now to have sorted this out.

Just a close look at table mat it has a small bevel in it, can I put in back in the press, if so for how long. will the colours bleed, what can I do. Did leave till it was totally cold

I was just about to post on here about place mats, have just been asked to supply quite a few and have ordered some from Martin to play with, are there any other makers other than UNISUB?

I did put heavy books and other stuff on the place Waited till it cooled then had a look the image was good, smack in the middle, with a lovely shine on ( I got these from subli supplies as it was then now subli metals. On closer inspection it had a slight bevel in it, and still wondering if I can put it back in the press for 20 seconds. If I could solve the small bevel in it, I would offer it to my customers, but in 4 with the option of coasters, but I would need to find suitable boxes with a clear top to finish it of. Or maybe there is another way of package them, any ideas.

Got my samples through, (thanks Martin) what templates do people use? not having much luck with the ones on the Unisub website, call me stupid, but how do i open them in Photoshop??

I think unisub templates are only in vector. But correct me if iam wrong...

That's a VERY interesting point Paul. - An old 'dead' press; if you took the electrics off it for tidiness (and it take it out the PAT testing loop) could have many uses in a craft workshop - laminating - veneering - pressing flowers! (should you be so inclined)

The element in this case will act as a heat sink... which is a very positive thing!

So a dead press is a very useful tool!
