Alln one are good little things. Not the work horse but for lower volume work is great. Hat attachemts is useless in my opinion :-)
Make sure you not buying a4 tho as they are little bit on small side...

Ty. The time and fiddle required changing from hat to mug to platen would really be a problem eventually, but by that time and if successful, the combi could become a stand-by machine.
Still umming and ahhing whether to risk all on a combi

In my opinion it would be best to buy separate, that way only one thing goes at a time, it like a washer tumbler, it one part goes it all goes back to be fixed, other people might think differently

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE POSTAGE !
think i would rather spend another £30-50 and buy from a online store with good rep TBH
The post is high because I think the press is not in Portsmouth it's probably coming direct from China were the seller is registered

Yep, quite right. And I nearly did that, but now I've just gone and ordered a 5 in 1 combi for £260 inc postage - the price is really important as I'm on a shoestring and it's cheaper than 1 mug, one press, one cap - and the platten is 38x38cm swing, big enough for my needs and I really didn't want a clam as I need to get in close.
I know it's not going to last forever but hopefully long enough to pay for itself and then some. In that time, I should know what lines are most popular and when it comes to replacing I may only need a mug press or just a plate press even (!). But at least I'll know:)
I was quite surprised that people don't seem to know about these machines as they are everywhere! But should anyone come along some day asking the same sorts of questions, I'll be able to answer:)

One I bought is registered in Brum, and I'm paying for 2 day shipping. If they try shipping from China then they'll be refunding me.

i bought the 8 in 1 from ebay.. £350, on best offer. works fine with no problems, yes can be a pain swapping from flat bed to mug press but this is just for starting. i will buy seperates as workflow increases.
It also came from Portsmouth. they all seem to be.

I'm with you all the way. Have bitten the bullet and ordered one of the cheapo combis yesterday. Haven't found any negative feedback about the quality of the machines, so they obviously work initially:) Only negative feedback seems to be the time they take to deliver. Looking at seperate presses of course, but I didn't have £8k to invest in setting up:) Just waiting for the courier to turn up - could be here a while:)

Crikey! During typing this the press has arrived! Shipped from Brum, made in China of course.
