I've been emailing CGraph over the last hour and they repeat 15 seconds!

I'll see what they say now - thanks Paul :)

Just to clear this up:

I had a reply back from CGraph this morning and they gave the following guideline:

165 degrees for 120 seconds.

I tried it and the transfer didn't work very well at all so I then tried 175 degrees for 100 seconds which spilt the magnet and backing (far too hot).

I then tried 170 degrees for 100 seconds and to be honest, that's how it was left.

On the last try I had to use a squegee to get rid of any bubbles - not good but it was the only way. The image transfer was about a 4 out of 10 - I use this image on various substrates so I know how it should look.

I emailed CGraph and said that I would use the remaining magnets I have as a giveaway for customers with our details on (keeping it basic with no background colours etc) but what about the pack and half wasted during this exercise?

They just sent me a code for £10 off my next order.

All in all - a useful learning experience and it shows that just because a product is available doesn't mean that it 'works'. I know of a couple of people that have tried this and all had the same problem but because they are not an expensive product nothing was (probably) said.

Cgraph answered emails but it was a strange jump from a couple of seconds required to then saying 2 mins?

It is a shame though as I could have used hundreds of these for something I need to do - but if they don't work or don't look 100% then I can't use them.

Damn, I have a box of these I bought off CGraph recently and not yet tried one. It sounds like I am looking at a waste of time (and money) if they are so bad :frown:

Well - to be honest, I won't be able to use them for customers as they don't sublimate right (colours off) but I can use them for basic business magnets to giveaway as freebies.

You might have more joy with yours but I must have spent about 4hrs on these and about 15 magnets down the drain :(

@AdamB Well thanks for the heads up. At least I now will understand if I have issues that it is the product and not the operator.

I've just tried another one @175 c for 2 mins using a silicon sheet the print was much better,to remove the bubbles I had to squeegee it on removing from the press then after removing the transfer I had to reheat it for 30 sec's then re-squeegee it to get a saleable magnet, in my opinion they won't be worth the time involved.

Was it an image that you've used before Reg on another substrate to compare the colours of the transfer?
