I have had great fun with a RC plane simulator complete with a controller that plugs into the PC. Costs around £20/£25.

lol...not excessive at all bud.....

i also got the racing pro bucket seat with the FF wheel, pedals & gear stick ect...3 yr old now

try that in front of a 150" home cinema screen and i almost, nearly think i,m there.....so frigging realistic....eps the formula 1 game......fire that through 7.1 surround and you can almost taste the fuel lol....oh and dont forget the rumble seat under yer ass....it really adds to the bumps and things

and....i could get the flight sim equipment bolted onto the racing seat for total flight sim feel...but...i would prefer 3 smaller screens rather than one 150".....not really the same is it?

so excessive is great if you got the space and NO WIFE to nip yer head about it  .and i DONT !

just saying to justin - i only wish i had another spare room - the flight cockpit is one of my dream home toys TBH....would take about 1 yr to buy all proper equipment and get joiners to build it, but boy i would get lost in there for hrs !......next house with another spare bedroom lol:wink:

Im going to show my sad side now but i did once look at an old F1 rolling chassis but I think the wife would make me live in the shed lol. But it would make the F1 game about as realistic as it could be

The R/C Plane controller comes with a R/C Plane simulator and there are a number of free or cheap alternatives available also. So not a bad deal for a bit of R/C fun.

Although Justin just buy your dad one of those mini helicopters and he can fly itaround his lounge instead - I love doing that also

ah worth ---- they are pants bud - why ?

oh yeh, great fun while the battery holds its charge, which aint that long - like 30 mins constant flying !....then an hour and a bit to charge..
i looked at one last yr cause i was bored and thought it would be fun in the house, but the actual flying time then the charge time put me off bud.....but others might be different
