Always assumed it was led but should be same as yours........ Mine packed in soon after purchase so can't say.

they are quite clear on what the "eye" will and wont do, but i think some re-sellers just add their own definitions
The Optical eye is a laser pointing device for Contour Cutting. It is supported by software such as SignCut Pro and Flexi-Starter.
Its a shame as it seems to catch a lot of people out, but to sell it as an add on is really taking the mickey

... and always add to the price big time!!! i have seen £20-£50 difference of same cutter with and without this pointer. marketing genius. £50 for something that does nothing
