Paul for taking 10 days to send a profile.

To sell on ebay you have to abide by their rules - and you're right, nobody reads the descriptions.

This is coming from someone who got 5 negs and a neutral yesterday, from the same person .
I managed to get them rescinded with a bit of grovelling and a refund.
Not often i disagree with you John but on this i think the point has to be in the detail If paul has stated that it can take upto 10 working days to dispatch / send or whatever delivery method (im assuming you have stated this in your listing paul) then Paul has done his bit to be fair its then up to the buyer to decide BEFORE buying if he wants to wait that 10 days. Ive had a neg feedback recently which was extremely unfair and it would take dynamite to get rid of it the most i could do was get their comment removed i think it really does depend on the person you get on the other end of the phone. Ebay usually say talk to the person who gave the feed back i have emailed 2 recently who marked me down on dispatch time i have explained to them and provided evidence they were dispatched in the 5 working days as stated in my listing. I got no reply ! this still doesnt wash with the powers that be at ebay they even offered to get me their phone numbers so i could ring the partys concerned i declined this im not in the habit of ringing people begging for feedback removal especially if they dont answer messages.
I was also on ebays live Chat window trying to get the dispatch time thing sorted i was on this window for a total of 3 hours and was transfered to 10 yes 10 differnt people in the end i gave in having got no further than when i started if i had given this level of service to my customers ebay would take a very dim view of this and probably do to me what they have done to paul . Its about time someone in power gave ebay a taste of their own medicine (its never going to happen) but it would be very funny if ebay were hauled over the coals and slammed with neg feedbacks for their poor customer experiance

Paul, they would have sent you several warning messages before banning you, giving you a chance to sort out your low DSRs.

Hi JohnG

I sort of agree with you

yes I deserved my top rated status removed, but when I contacted them and explained why and also provided all the evidence to show that everything had been dispatched within the correct time frame (i.e. having positive feedback on something that was shown as not dispatched) they still continued along the line of "You must dispatch within the correct time frame" and so would not reactivate the status.

They say "You must dispatch within the time frame"

When actually it means "You must click on the dispatch icon within the time frame (dispatched or otherwise)"

i can see this being a pain with selling around 100's items at a time.
But is there not some sort of automated service the same as the "auto feedback" system that could do it for you ?
or is it the long way only ?

I completely agree with you, but customers just don't read the listings. They pay, then leave a neg when it takes too long in their eyes for the product to be delivered, that's why all sellers need to speed there act up to keep customers happy.

All you do is select the order with the tick boxes (Selling Manager - Sold) tick all the items that have sold, then with one click off the mouse, mark as despatched - pretty easy and straight forward.
Even on a few hundred it wouldn't take that long, and lets be honest - who's going to sell more than 100 items per day - you'll be lucky to get into double figures.

I had one customer email me and one of the ladies who makes cards for me (not ebay) to say that she'd ordered graphics but nothing had come through and she'd been waiting 48 hours (our downloads are instant!!) obviously I investigated and went into a panic because she was mouthing off to my wee cardmaker.....this stupid woman hadn't ordered from me...infact, when she contacted me via my feedback form she actually said that I changed my website because it hadn't looked like that when she'd visited 48 hours earlier!!!!!!!!!!!! Are people so busy/distracted these days they don't even know where they are!!!

Hope you can sort something out Paul!!

I clearly stated that custom icc will be created within 10 working days where ebay asked me to do so. in the postage details.
I had few ppl buying profiles but none of them bother with feedbacks! but if they do they dont touch the stars rating.

Also I had a guy who open dispute on me that his profile didnt arrive within 5 days I explained that i never received his printed charts! And hi was shocked that he need to send me anything ! read the bloody description. i also had few guys emailing me within hours where is my item???? they thought they will receive ready icc after they pay! ridicules!
