Re: Slate with marks on it.
I have contacted Coralgraph and asked them to look at the images I have sent. They have replied asking for details, time, temp, printer, paper, inks, which I have replied to. They said they couldn't really see the marks so sent more images. Waiting to hear from them now.

Just an update: Henry from Coralgraph could see the issue with the 2nd lot of photos sent and is going to send a couple of replacements. Haven't had them yet, but so far so good. As Paul says in another thread, 'Credit where credit is due'

Re: Slate with marks on it.
Just had a batch from Coralgraph, and they are all the matt finish with the colours not printing properly at all - they look washed out compared to the glossy ones we're used to.
Before they are printed (wish I'd looked before printing so many of them) you can see the difference between the glossy and matte ones, as the glossy ones are glossy all over the printing side, including the areas which haven't got the white coating on. It's almost like they didn't finish them with the final coating.
The boxes of the matt ones are slightly different too, although bar codes etc are the same, the print quality (and construction) of the box is not as good.
I wondering if the matte ones are an inferior copy of the glossy ones now looking at the boxes.
I had an order to ship today, who aren't getting all the slates they ordered as I cannot send these matte ones out when the shop is used to getting the nice glossy ones. They're one of our best stockists, so don't want to mess them about. Equally we have a retail trade show in Glasgow starting on Sunday and now we can't exhibit the amount of slates we'd wanted to.

Re: Slate with marks on it.
Update to my original post.
Did an aluminium door plate for my nephew and could see similar marks on this. So after the press had gone cold I turned it upside down to view the press plate and I can see that there is a circular mark on the plate. It's in the metal. It's not something that has got stuck to it, it's just begun to show up when I print things that start out white. What can I do now. I have sent an email to Coralgraph, where I bought the press last December, so hopefully they will have a solution. I'm not happy now as I have a number of items to press and can't do it now as I fear this mark will be on almost everything, except t-shirts.
