If it's a supported printer then the profile or Powerdriver if it's a Ricoh are already available to you.

What inks are you using?
Are you using sealed carts, refill carts, or a CISS?
Do't bother getting an ICC made until the printer is printing perfectly with no lines, or you'll be wasting your money.

Guys, all seems fine now. Don't suppose you have any ideas on how to remove a the texture from the ink on the mug? I'm assuming it's an effect of using cheap sublimation paper. Am I right? I bought a few sublimated mugs for 'market research' on quality, and most seem to manage a seamless transfer with no texture at all...

Any help is appreciated.

Have a great evening.

Don't skrimp on paper
What have you currently got?
and don't bother getting the ICC made until you have decent paper, or you'll need a new ICC making for the better paper.

It doesn't even have a name.

£5.99 for 100 sheets & free delivery if I remember correctly, but I got it purely for experimenting, because I expected wastage while I practiced.

So do you think it's the paper? Would you recommend TruePix, even though it's for an EPSON printer, not Ricoh?

This is the cheapest A4 paper I would recommend...
http://www.xpres.co.uk/p-7836-a4-sublimation-paper.aspx

Get this paper, and then print off the ICC test charts.

There's about a £2.50 difference between the price of the Xpres paper (P&P, VAT) and the price of TruePix paper, so bearing in mind price is more or less the same, which would you go for?

Those small savings will add up, and personally I like to avoid anything to do with Sawgrass, including their TruPix paper.

If That helps i can add from myself that i used xpres and trupix paper before and didn't see much difference so it will be £2.50 in your pocket ;)

Xpres paper is excellent but Trupix has a higher release and is that bit better imo.

TruPix isn't designed for an Epson printer. It's designed for sublimation printing and releasing ink to the substrate you want to print onto.
