spoke with technick - and he says the backing HAVE def changed, and one can NOT rip off the tape like i was doing for the last 7yr any more ...
not gonna work....this is gonna be a major hassle when doing very large runs...will need to look into getting proper jigs custom made for 2018, as this is gonna be PITA paul

I love to try on cold coaster but this only one i had left. As I said, I am not buying them in but if Martin is willing to send me one of his own, I am happy to test few under my press :)

100% will need to see about proper jigs getting custom made, regardless of cost paul...
just to late in yr to do anything now ;(

Can you try one more for me and see if this does make a difference please?
I know this will sound like I am teaching you ho to suck eggs, but try to do exactly what i do.

Pre warm back of the coaster if is in colder room.
set press for 185C and 55sec.
Pressure LOW. Like for metal sheet. maybe TINY higher. no much.
And see then. I know if you press to hard you may get tape marks on all sorts of blanks.
Just try and let me know if I am wrong.

gonna try that now m8....hold on and i will fire up one o the presses ;)
waiting on it heating....nothing has changed here...presses have always been same settings for yrs.....but i try anything tbh here

This thread seems to be a bit heated (might be a heat press pun there somewhere)

I don't think anyone is really accusing or thinking others are lying or making light of the situation. I think we all want to find a solution and lets hope we do.

I replied to the other jig thread regarding developing one. It would be good to get something sorted... Something we all can work on and get results from. I think that's really what sites like this are about, and if not maybe they should be.
