decisions epson 9600 for canvasses or sunangel for garments argh
Re: decisions epson 9600 for canvasses or sunangel for garments argh
We buy these printers cheaply with a view that once they break, that it's most likely not going to be worth trying to fix, and to then buy another one. So far though, we've been running our 9600 for a about a year, and it's still working fine apart from having to replace a couple of dampers, it's certainly paid for itself, the 7600 we've had running maybe 3 years now, and it's not had any problems. No banding on either machine in fastest modes either.

I am like this with cars, saves me a fortune and there is always the fun gamble on whether you will make it to your destination or notWe buy these printers cheaply with a view that once they break, that it's most likely not going to be worth trying to fix
On a more serious note, I had a 9600 when I owned the screen printing firm with my ex business partner scum. The premises were blown up by the Buncefield oil refinery (Google it!), building was flattened and so was most of the kit. 9600 survived even though it fell through 1 floor. Needed a head clean and away it went.
They are very well built

9600 very similar to the 9800 and 9880 , 9880 being the only one to be able to print in full bidirectional without banding due the bidirectional calibration in firmware.
heads very hard to get for 9600 and pump cap assembly also motors are not shared with the 9880s. Other advantage of 9800 9880 is the extra black although in sublimation thats not such a good thing
