Re: where is everybody?
I'm still here, posting occasionally when I get half a mo.
Pretty busy at the moment. Sadly, not with much sublimation work which is unfortunate as my other line of work doesn't pay until a month later so I'm working like a carthorse yet with no money to speak of.
Never mind, it'll soon sort itself out (in about a month...

Hi Justin,Justin wrote:Not possible I'm afraidpressfx wrote:Is there no way you can just redirect the other to here incase? Most members should have been using the http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk url to access the forum as this was introduced very quickly. I think It's only the newer members that would have bookmarked subli.forumotion.com.
How come a redirect wont work then? Do you not have access to the source code for the forum? If not surely there must be something in your control panel for redirects. Just curious thats all.
It does seem that traffic has heavily fallen off int he last week or so.
Im sure itll pick up though.

Re: where is everybody?
The old forum was hosted by Forumotion which is a free platform. You can't gain access to the source code, nor can you get backup copies of the database. The platform worked well to start with as there was no outlay but as we recognised the forum will become something much bigger we needed to move to a different platform. We're now on a seperate host running a phpbb3 forum and have full control and can do full backups etc. Forumotion don't allow any sort of re-direction as they don't want anyone to leave!chongsta wrote:

Most members should have been using http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk as this was set up very early on. Some older members may still have the Forumotion link bookmarked but I've left messages on there.
We've certainly taken a hit on the amount of traffic through the forum but I know this will pick up again before too long. Membership is still increasing and we are always looking at ways of spreading awareness of the forum.

Re: where is everybody?
I have not been on in the last week due to an absolutely crap company that calls itself a broadband provider leaving us with no internet for the last week. It is still not sorted and will be be another 7 working days yet apparently, so I have been out this morning and bought a mobile broadband dongle instead to get us back online.
