The printer my wife opted for without my input was the OKI C711DN which I think is the successor to the OKI 610s that seem popular.

I've never used an Oki, but I've always been interested in them. The C711DN isn't exactly "entry level", and I can see immediately that your running costs do work out much more economical than the entry-level lasers. Seeing replacement fusers, transfer belts, and drum kits priced around £60 is very encouraging - by comparison the replacement photoconductor unit for my Epson Aculaser is around £160. The printer itself barely cost that. Ridiculous, right?

Well these days it can be cheaper to buy a printer with ink cartridges than to buy a set of ink cartridges! The world has gone crazy. Yes, the machine is definately not entry level, its damn heavy to lift. However I am confident that it should help me with t-shirts this summer lol (if it ever arrives).

My pigments inks have just arrived so I'm hoping to put them into one of my Brother printers over the weekend, as soon as I have time. Have you got yours yet?

If there's still ink in them, you may as well keep them. You may get another Brother printer in the future that uses the same cartridges.

Ah, I'm busy doing "paying work" at the moment. Will get onto it as soon as I can.
I like the freebie USB stick I got with the order. Thought it'd be a cheap generic one. Did you get one, too?
