maybe Kevin can shed some light on it he d'loaded it the other day and had it working in 2 minutes with the settings i sent him

I start getting asked about active and passive modes!

What is kevins forum identity?

I aslo get asked if I want Client or Server.... which should I use?

I have just uninstalled "Filezilla client".

Will see what else I can do.

This isn't something as daft as I need to download "opencart" first is it?

no filezilla is a stand-alone programme that just connects you to your server so you can up-load files quicker

Does it not have the quick connect bit at the top of the program? just enter host username and password?

That is the problem area.
It know seems that there may be a problem with a password.

The password that gets me into the client area, doesn't get me in form filezilla. All day at it and confused!

All day on this with the exception of a couple hours, and now we have succcess.

There appears to have been an issue with my password, still not sure quite what, but changed the password and "access all areas".

Big thumbs up to christianhosting.org.uk for bearing with me on this .THANK YOU.:biggrin:
