mini 3d machine mugs
Re: mini 3d machine mugs
Yeah I was to when I did that one but others i've tried since haven't faired so well. I tried wedging a block of silicone under the clasps on the wrap to add some pressure there but it didn't work, I have a vacuum mold coming from china at some point so maybe that will fair better.pisquee;88360 wrote:Impressed with the round the handle printing!
Re: mini 3d machine mugs
using the same settings as above - :frown: only diff was xpres paper instead of truipix...but that should not give that big of a print differancegalerion;88349 wrote:Taking my time down to 360 seconds fixed my black going brown issue, the mugs come out really hot if the paper touches them again then it will leave a mark. I'm using CG mugs heat is set to 190c, tru pix paper, 4 mugs in green silicone wraps. I hit preheat, once at 190c I put them in upside-down hit the preheat again to get temp back to 190c then hit the timer and turn the vacuum off. I have had this print all around the handle but did get a slight fade under the handle on one so i'm working on something to put some pressure there.
mugs were from BMS we had kicking about
and only ONE mug in the oven thing, not 4

Re: mini 3d machine mugs
Well at least there is a start to sublimation hope 600 secs goes better for you. I wonder if my machine is getting hotter than yours i've hit the temp button while the timer is going and not seen it drop below 189c but have seen it over 200c.bigj2552;88468 wrote:using the same settings as above - :frown: only diff was xpres paper instead of truipix...but that should not give that big of a print differance

Re: mini 3d machine mugs
GOT IT
300sec @ 190

right now.....this is interesting indeed..
the other machine @ 900sec - when i hit the preheat button, NO FAN comes on, i dont mean the suction pump, i mean the fan...wonder if this has something to do with it guys ?
this mug above done on the phone case machine with the silver upper devider removed....oh, and i also shut the window...i have them next to the window to try and get some of the fumes out.
so, i think i might have a duff machine - BUT....off to try another mug and take out the upper silver devider on the other machine.....just to see if it is buggered or not

Re: mini 3d machine mugs
just checked, the machine with the 900sec HAS the upper silver divider out already
so its something to do with this bloody fan.....
have emailed suppler now i found the fault
if anyone has any idea how to solve this, please give me a shout
i,m off to dismantle this other machine to see if any wires are off or anything loose

Re: mini 3d machine mugs
So you're saying that the machine it doesn't work in has NO fan operating, is that right? Would definitely suggest that there's no heat distribution going on.
In fairness, up until very recently, almost everything I ever bought was duff when I got it. Started off with my very first Amiga being dead on arrival and from that point on almost everything else had issues.
You're getting a lot of overspray at the top of the mug too - do you get that with the mug press? I've never had that with the big black vacuum press. Must feel good to eventually get a decent result from it though - I was telling my other half how you'd gone through so many mugs with NO print whatsoever and neither of us could understand how the hell that could happen when it was standard paper, standard inks, standard mugs, and it was showing the correct temp. Good for you; hope they replace it quickly! I'm still waiting on a case of S4 covers coming from China more than a month after buying them :\
