Re: New product design software - Demo Video

Looks really good but half of it was not working.

I am using FIREFOX 22.0

I looked at the mug templates.

First thing I noticed was that they were already preloaded with a template of some description. I tried to delete this but could not. I uploaded an image of my own but when I came to resize the uploaded image it would not let me (rotation tool was fine).

The add image button and the add text button at the top were not functioning.

Clicking the UPLOAD TO CART button did nothing.

it would not let me use any of the functions within the layers dialogue box

I am fairly convinced that this is because of the restrictions of the demo as it worked a treat with the Iphone 5 template but thought I would share just in case it wasn't.

Just need to know the price and before you say it... I know... "soon"

This demo is specifically aimed at Chrome, I should have mentioned this. That said, there should (I believe) be no reason why it doesn't run on Firefox.

Just installed latest version of Firefox on my iMac and it runs the software a treat, will try it on a PC when I can.

Hi Justin

Does this mean that the full software is designed specifically for Chrome? Will it run on other browsers, in particular IE, Firefox and Safari

Do you know how well it works with tablets and the like?

As mentioned it worked a treat on the iphone template but not the mug ones.

Should work on all browsers Simon, I've only tested it on Chrome and Safari mainly. This particular demo is better suited to Chrome. Other versions will be available soon for different tablets, ipads etc.

Some of the buttons dont appear to work such as rotate, they also need a positive action for over/selected state and a hover over tool tip so you know what they do. It would be nice to be able to resize images with a +/- button as well as the corner drag as consumers are more used to that and wont be able to cope with corner dragging.

The whole thing needs "prettification" (not a real word) as its a bit messy and basic but I understand this is just an unpolished trial version, it would be good if it fitted on a 768px high laptop screen which is very common but the site is has a scroll bar for a tiny bit at the very bottom.

Canvas size outght to change according to product, its very odd working on a big canvas but only in the bottom right corner (I did the computer case), again customers wont understand this and will think its broken as they cant use the whole space and not everything in the canvas is on the product.

Rotate needs some sort of degrees indicator or even pre-set rotate 90 degrees buttons and a box where you can enter a number such as 15degrees.

Layers controls dont appear to work, you can re-order them but not turn on and off or lock and unlock.

The product is very very good, easy to use but not easy enough for customers, they really can be quite stupid at times so it needs to be easier!! Its nice and smooth and a has loads of potential. I tested it in IE9.

^smo, thanks for your feedback Simon :-)

Some of the buttons aren't working as this is a demo version, the resize +/- button is a good suggestion and will be added to the product wish list. The final product will indeed have tool tips for hover over etc.

The final product will be 'prettier' ;-)

The canvas size changes with the selected product and print area. If you are referring to the laptop bag demo we are aware this is currently not working properly.

Layer controls will be fully functional in final product, again this is down to the fact that you're looking at a demo version.

Hi Justin

Just had a bit more of a play and have noticed that the smartphone covers are for the 3D sublimation printing set up and not the inferior metal plate insert ones. Now I understand that for people like yourself who lounge around in silk pajamas and have chauffeur driven cars you probably have 3D machines lying around collecting dust, but for us paupers is there, or will there be, templates for the other type of covers
