Hi. Well we have a super cheapy flat press for doing coasters which seems to be perfect in use. Maintains temperature and not a problem doing 6 coasters in 60 seconds. We bought it for £114 (b grade although only has a scratch) but I see price has gone up and may be out of stock. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWING-AWAY-HE ... 1315229711
BMS I can certainly recommend as a company as their support is very good. Olly

These are cracking little presses for the money, I sometimes use for smaller items. Of course, you get what you pay for but this could be enough to get you started :-) If it's big enough.

Thanks guys,

justin the one you linked to, is that the £75 one at 23x30cm? Is the temp even all over the plate?

Thanks again

Yes it is. Temp is certainly even on mine. This can be an issue on cheaper presses due to the element layout but I know a few members using these with no apparent issues.

I had this very same model from this same supplier and my temp was great. I miss this little machine.
