Have recently got myself an Epson WF-7110DTW. Problem I'm having is I have always selected "Epson Matte" as paper selection on my previous machines. I can select this when printing A4 and it prints okay, when I want to print A3 this option is not there and when printed using "plain paper" option the images come out with banding across the print. Only other paper options available for A3 are, "Letterhead, Recycled, Color and Preprinted". Anyone have a solutions or any ideas before I do a print using each and have the waste.

Lighter ink-use prints show up ink flow and alignment problems more than higher ink use prints - so be good to cure that problem now you've found it. Do some alignment and nozzle checks.
I am not familiar with smaller printer, but does that model have more than one paper feed option, sometimes the different paper feed give you different print options, our office printer (which is an A4 workforce pro) gives different options for print/paper quality if using the tray feed or rear loose feed.

Printer has two trays and a feed slot at back. Have checked and for some reason only known to Epson, tray one and feed slot have A3 option with matte, tray two doesn't, so cant even swap trays sizes. Looks like it is either swap trays when A3 is required or feed pages into feed slot. Thanks for your input.

Have swapped paper trays and settings and can now print A3 okay. Don't understand why both trays don't have the same setting options.
